Getting Started

to do is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. Here are some quick tips to get you started:

Adding Tasks

  • Quick Add: Click the + button in the app to quickly add a new task
  • Global Hotkey (macOS): Press Cmd+Shift+Space from anywhere to add a task
  • Details: Long-press a task to add priority, due dates, tags, and notes

Managing Tasks

  • Complete: Click on a task to mark it as complete
  • Edit: Long-press a task to open the detail view and make changes
  • Delete: Open the task detail view and tap "Delete Task"
  • Filter: Use the All/Active/Completed tabs to view different task lists

Sync Across Devices

  • Sign in with your Apple ID on all your devices
  • Your tasks will automatically sync in real-time
  • Works offline - changes sync when you're back online

Common Issues

Global Hotkey Not Working (macOS)

The app needs Accessibility permissions to use the global hotkey:

  1. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility
  2. Find "to do" in the list
  3. Toggle the switch to ON
  4. Restart the app

If the app isn't listed, quit completely (Cmd+Q) and relaunch.

Sign In Issues

  • Make sure you're connected to the internet
  • Check that Sign in with Apple is working (try in another app)
  • Try signing out and signing back in
  • Restart the app

Tasks Not Syncing

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID on all devices
  • Wait a few moments - sync can take a few seconds
  • Try force-quitting and reopening the app

App Performance

  • Try restarting the app
  • Make sure you're running the latest version
  • Check that your macOS/iOS is up to date
  • If issues persist, try signing out and back in

Data & Privacy

Exporting Your Data

Currently, you can view and manage all your tasks within the app. For data export features, please contact support.

Deleting Your Account

To delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Contact us using the information below
  2. Provide your Apple ID email (if comfortable) or user ID
  3. We'll confirm deletion within 48 hours
  4. All your data will be permanently removed
